Some of us are familiar with the verse;
"For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
2 Thessalonians 3:10
We understand that this chapter is about idleness and the importance of working (specifically believers).
However, we can also apply this to our spiritual life. Those who are unwilling to work on their walk with God (read the bible, pray, follow Gods teachings) shall not eat from the blessings of God.
This doesn't mean it's transactional, but it does mean that those who fall in line with his will (or are trying to), will taste his rewards.
